I was an apprentice gardener at Hermitage Park in Helensburgh for many years, where I went on to became a fully qualified gardener. I then decided to take a different career path and went into finance but suffered an aneurism which left me in a coma for a year and a day. I also lost all memory of the previous five years. I moved to Campbeltown in 2010 and became a volunteer for the community garden shortly after. During my volunteering time I have seen and helped the garden greatly improve. I helped build the path in the market garden and have re-skinned the polytunnels.
